Kajima’s landmark BTS development in Świebodzin Western, part of a joint venture with Panattoni, has reached completion. The development sets record as the largest warehouse in Kajima’s logistics portfolio, spanning across four storeys and accommodating 30 million products handled by 3,000 transport robots to support picking and storage on site. The development is located an hour’s drive from the German border allowing the tenants to serve Western Europe and is closely linked to the A2 motorway connecting Berlin, Lodz and Warsaw.

With sustainability playing an ever-increasing role in Kajima’s developments, the facility has been awarded a BREEAM rating of ‘excellent’ and boasts various green amenities such as PV panels, electric vehicle charging stations, biodiversity meadows and photovoltaic systems to provide increased daylight into the facility. In addition, the development and carsharing is also promoted amongst employees.

The investment is part of Kajima’s business plan to expand their portfolio throughout Poland, alongside their successful Student Depot platform and recent renewable energy partnership with PAD-RES and Griffin Capital Partners.
